No generic sponges. No supermarket shelves. Every cake is baked to order, for you, by our Ukrainian pastry chef. Order online and collect from our café in Richmond TW10.

Our Birthday Cakes

Napoleon Cake — from £55

The showstopper. Dozens of paper-thin puff pastry layers with rich vanilla custard cream, assembled entirely by hand. It silences the room when sliced at the table — every guest gets a slice worth talking about. Available in two sizes: 6–8 servings (£55) or 12–14 servings (£95). A natural choice for milestone birthdays.

Basque Cheesecake — from £35

Deeply caramelised outside, impossibly creamy within. Our own recipe, developed over six years, made with no flour at all. The kind of cake that needs no introduction — it speaks for itself. Available in two sizes: 4–6 servings (£35) or 10–12 servings (£60). Perfect for smaller gatherings or as a finishing course after dinner.

Honey Cake — £55

Ukraine’s most beloved layer cake — thin honey sponge layers with a light soured cream filling, assembled by hand. Best eaten the day after collection, when the layers have fully softened. Serves 10–12. For anyone who wants something genuinely different — a cake with a story.

Cinnamon Buns — from £22.50

Not a birthday cake — but a brilliant addition to any celebration spread. Slow-proved and baked fresh to order. Available as 6 pieces (£22.50) or 12 pieces (£40). Order alongside a cake and collect everything together.

How to Order a Birthday Cake

All our cakes are ordered online and collected from our café at 16 Hill Rise, Richmond TW10 6UA.

  1. Choose your cake — browse the options above and decide on size and type
  2. Order online — add to cart and complete checkout at wolkcakes.co.uk
  3. We bake it for you — fresh to order in our Richmond kitchen
  4. Collect from the café — Monday to Sunday, 07:30am – 5:30pm

We require a minimum of 2 working days’ notice for all orders. For weekend birthdays, we recommend ordering by Thursday at the latest.

Allergen Information

Our Honey Cake, Napoleon Cake and Cinnamon Buns contain milk, eggs and wheat (gluten). Our Basque Cheesecake contains milk and eggs and is made without any flour — but it is baked in a kitchen that handles wheat flour every day, so we cannot guarantee it is free from traces of gluten and it is not suitable for coeliac customers.
